Hello everyone. My show went well today at th Shawnee Playhouse. My good friend and fellow magician S. Patrick caught me in the act. I am doing my opening number which is the Miser's Dream and as I look out into the audience I see S. Patrick.
I felt like a deer caught in the headlights. I thought maybe I did something against the magician's code and he was there to take me off to that secret dark room where all the very bad magicians are taken by the IBM and SAM (two of the national magician's groups.) S. Patrick may be the one to come get me because he is our local chapter president and the R.V.P. of the national organization. Yep, as he is 'THE BIG WIG" in our area I thought for sure he was going to drag me in to see the darm chamber.
Well, it turns out that he had some time to kill before his set of shows and just showed up to watch and say hello. As it turns out I pulled him up and we fooled the audience together until the very end when I told everyone who he was.
I think it is safe to say that we both a pretty good time. I just want to say that I think it is awesome when two magicians can get along as we all should. S. Patrick has been a friend of mine for many years and I just want to say Thank You S. Patrick for being there when I needed you most and I hope our friendship and our art form will be around for the next 1000 or more years.
